Unfortunately, our Leco instrument has experienced a breakdown, causing a delay in processing results, in particular protein and fibre, which are part of the full nutritional CAT2 analysis. Our team is working diligently to repair the instrument and expedite the processing of the samples. We are aiming to have the results to you as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we are not able to honour any 3 or 5 day turnarounds currently in our system, nor can we accept any new work under these trts. All samples will be changed to 10 days and reported as such.
I understand the importance of receiving these results promptly, and I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause..
Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter.
Update: Beef Species by ELISA
Unfortunately, we are currently facing an issue with the Beef Elisa Kit Lot provided by the manufacturer. The kit has been failing, and despite our efforts, the manufacturer is unable to provide a replacement batch at this time. It seems that they will need to re-manufacture the kits, and this process may take some time.
In order to ensure that we can continue providing you with accurate and reliable testing services, we have taken the proactive step of ordering PCR Beef kits as a temporary replacement. These kits, although not our preferred method, will allow us to continue testing for beef species until the issue with the Elisa kits is resolved. Please note that the Limit of Detection (LOD) for the PCR Beef kits is currently being established. However, we anticipate that it will be below the 1% threshold of the Elisa method, likely falling in the range of 0.1-0.01%. This test wil not be accredited.
While we understand that this may not be the ideal solution, we want to assure you that we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and reliability in our testing services. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you updated on any developments regarding the availability of the Beef Elisa kits. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
We value your partnership and appreciate your understanding during this time.
This is a kindly reminder that we require a minimum of 72 hours notice for consumable orders. This allows us to ensure that we have sufficient stock available and allows ample time for us to prepare and dispatch the items to you. We understand that sometimes things can get busy and deadlines can slip our minds, so we just wanted to send you a friendly reminder to help avoid any inconvenience or delays in receiving your order. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We greatly appreciate your business and look forward to serving you.
Sample Collection Cut-Off time
Just a polite reminder that the cut off time for arranging sample collections is 12noon, the working day prior to required date. Collections requested after this time will not be able to be accommodated and will instead be scheduled for the next available day.
This is necessary in order to ensure that we can better accommodate client needs – to allow us to time to plan routes more efficiently, ensure collections can be scheduled more closely to expected times unaffected by additional collections requested later in the day, ensure samples can be returned to the laboratory as soon as feasible (thus allowing results to be made available as soon as possible) as well as ensuring Intertek’s commitments to sustainability as a business can be met by allowing routes to be more optimally planned.
We are committed to ensuring we can continue to offer the flexibility of next-day collections to meet your requirements as a customer, whilst keep associated testing arrangements, turnaround times and costs competitive for all.
Thank you in advance
NB Registration of sample via Netportal does not automatically arrange a sample collection, this needs to be booked via our Customer Service team.
